Former lead singer of the Stone Roses, know more commonly known as “King Monkey” is noted for his wispy, raspy and throaty singing style with a delivery of enormous charisma and stage presence that makes him stand out… In his solo career, Brown has released five solo albums, sold out numerous world wide tours and worked with many notable musicians including U.N.K.L.E where he  provided the vocals to the world wide smash “Reign”, Oasis’s Noel Gallagher and he even had a cameo role in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban… Not bad for a maverick, hooligan poet from Manchester… All rise for King Monkey..

Following the release earlier this year of their stunning second album “ Our Earthly Pleasures” dapper British indie darlings Maximo Park are set to light up the main Playground stage with one of their incendiary live performances. A band that inspires devotion, a journalist from the UK’s Guardian newspaper described “ scenes comparable to the Smiths’ gigs in the 1980’s after seeing them live ”.

Josh Pyke is a musical tailor. Using melody and narrative as his threads, he seamlessly stitches together diverse elements of life to form the fabric of songs that are timeless, full of emotion and emphatically honest.

Josh has toured the UK twice gathering a mass of fans and critical acclaim from overseas , Josh has also played a number of solo sell-out tours in his own homeland where has been able to play at some of the biggest events including Big Day Out, Splendour In The Grass and The Falls festival…

BBC Nottingham in the UK was quoted saying "He is a songsmith who knows his craft... Dylan is still the new Dylan. But Josh Pyke is set to be the new Josh Pyke." — 5/5

The name 'Tiefschwarz' is German for 'deep black', mixing Ali and Basti's last name with a homage to deep house. Tiefschwarz have been DJing since 1995 and have remixed everyone from Fischerspooner and Phonique to Missy Elliot and Madonna.

Standing out in a fickle dance community as djs and producers, their music stands the test of dance’s fluctuating popularity and never ending fads.

Hailing from Liverpool, UK, The Wombats are are three twenty something’s who formed at the McCartney-funded Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts in 2003 and who have since taken the UK by storm and now being hailed as 2007’s greatest pop discovery with their Arctic Monkeys-style vocals about life and their energetic live performances.. Their catchy pop is perfect for radio, they are cool enough for indie kids and even the miserablists will enjoy their humour.. There is no danger of these Wombats going extinct.

The five piece indie rock band Sydney (Aus) have been described as art / experimental rock at its best with their use of effects pedals and falsetto vocals…

The band sum it up very well in their own words …….“ Over 6 years, we went from being not very good to being quite good. We couldn’t really play live when we started and no one really understood our songs. It still takes a little bit to get our songs, but thank you to those of you who do say things like “You are really special to me” and “Before you there was nothing ”

Steve Bug is hailed as one of the greatest minimal talents in the world. Flaunting his own seductive take on the genre that has become a dirty word to some people in the dance music scene [but not when associated with this man.]

His stripped back, futuristic house is a by product of his creativity and willingness to continually cross the boundaries between house and techno resulting in a moody form of minimal house that is loved by even the harshest of critics. Bug is the creator of not 1 but 3 massive dance labels including Audiomatique and the mega-label Poker Flat

Mo’ Horizons are masters of mixing up soul, funk and latin grooves and serving them up in their own unique style , subsequently earning them fans from all over the globe. And luckily for us, the German duo consisting of Ralf Droesemeyer and Mark ‘Foh’ Wetzler will soon be brandishing their latinsouljazzfunkfeeling sounds our way

Ralph holds the honour of playing the first ever record at Back to Basics (UK), and there is a very good chance that he will play the last if that fateful day ever rears up it's ugly head. Not satisfied with making his own music and releasing the music new artists, Ralph has earned himself a significant niche as a remixer.

Now a regular guest at places like Fabric and Bugged Out  and with his productions and remixes appearing regularly in the play lists of today's top djs, the sky is the limit for this most talented of people …but maybe even that is not beyond Ralph's capabilities.

THE REAL STORY!!! History has spawned hundreds of genius double acts where two minds and talents collide to form something innovative and artistically challenging. Unfortunately, Spirit Catcher are just a pair of european weirdos. As we all know, exciting and romNo heroes, no drama, no action. The two were fated to meet. Jean was walking to the shops to get some fresh air and a bite to eat, when he was gripped into zombie mode again, and dragged by unseen forces back towards the studio. Tom was returning from taking his beloved Juno106 into a shop to be repaired, when a tall figure loomed towards him, muttering 2dB down at 90 Hertz.make some room for bottom end.separate the kick.16khz shinestudio..studio. Tom stared for a while at this possessed man. Freak!, he thought, until he stopped - and realised that he himself was a goddamn freak too. Hmmm? And anyway - this talk of studios.who knows.they would be sure to have modulation wheels. The Formula! The Formula!! Toms eyes flashed white and black, black and white. They were seized together in a gnashing frenzy, bound by their pasts into a crazed march back towards the lure of the studio. And so Spirit Catcher was born. Come and check this pair of freaks out you won’t be disappointed !

Clubs world wide look to employ extremely talented resident djs to carry the reputation and style of the club.

They also hire headline acts who receive top billing to perform mesmerizing shows. Will Saul holds down residencies at London’s The End and Weekend in Berlin but he didn’t quite get the memo about letting the headliners have the thunder.

Known for performing countless show stealing sets with his deep driving house and techno tunes that ooze elements of soul and funk. Saul is the main man behind Simple Records and Aus Music and is building quite a reputation as an extremely talented producer, having worked on remixes for the likes of Content (Jesse Rose), Mike Monday and Phonique.
